Most international guests of Paris Fashion Week arrive through Charles de Gaulle (CDG) — and the first hour on the ground sets the tone for the week. Here is how to plan the arrival properly.
Know your terminal
CDG is three airports wearing one name:
- Terminal 1 — Star Alliance long-haul (United, Lufthansa arrivals from some hubs)
- Terminal 2 (A–G) — Air France, SkyTeam, most premium long-haul; 2E and 2F handle the bulk of fashion-crowd arrivals
- Terminal 3 — low-cost carriers
A private chauffeur meets you inside the terminal at your arrival gate area with a name card — which matters at 2E, where the exit flow splits and a mis-positioned driver costs you fifteen minutes of phone calls.

The garment-bag question
Sample looks and couture garments should never be folded into a car boot under suitcases. In a Mercedes V-Class, hanging bags travel flat or on a rail; in an S-Class, across the rear shelf. When you book, state the number of garment bags — the vehicle assignment depends on it. For full sample collections, a second luggage vehicle is the professional answer.
Taxi, app or private chauffeur?
- Official taxi: fixed 65 € (Right Bank) / 75 € (Left Bank) tariff to central Paris — but the queue during PFW arrival peaks can exceed 45 minutes, and a saloon boot does not love garment bags.
- Ride-hailing apps: surge pricing spikes precisely when fashion flights land; pickup zones are a walk with luggage.

Booking checklist
- Book 2–3 weeks ahead minimum for peak PFW days
- Give the flight number — tracking and delay-waiting depend on it
- State garment bags and cases so the right vehicle is dispatched
- Add the return transfer in the same booking — departure days after a show week are exactly when you don't want transport admin
- If going direct to a showroom or venue, say so — luggage can be delivered to the hotel separately
